In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy.
1 Timothy 2:8 NLT
As we read the scriptures, we are told to put our differences aside and come together. Come together for what you may ask? The Bible tells us to come together for 1 purpose, the purpose to worship our Lord and Savior. We are reminded to seek our Lord God without ceasing. Paul writes: In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy. 1 Timothy 2:8
Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
I Timothy 6:12
The purpose of a men’s ministry is to make disciples of the men you engage. However, this also includes equipping men in your ministry to do the same. One idea is to set up mission trips or ministry events that make use of the gifts and experience of the men you have in your ministry.
A church leader needs to be a Godly leader, a role model, and a guidance giver – not only for your church members but for everyone else in the community too. They mentor and encourage people, furthering their faith and ensuring that they have a positive church experience.
Men’s fellowship must be prioritized by all men in the church—whatever the age, demographic, or life stage—because men’s fellowship is vital to a man’s spiritual health. Those men who neglect it will be stunted in their growth and risk spiritual downfall.
Fellowship means to “Hang out” with people who believe in the same God as you! And by this I mean to pray, worship, praise, and encourage each other to grow in Christ. He has given each of us special spiritual gifts, and together, we must show His grace to the world.
God created man for a purpose. The purpose of man was to care for the Garden of Eden. When God saw that man was lonely, God created woman, Genesis 2:18. God gave man another purpose or duty if you will. And that duty was to be a husband to his wife and with that came a third duty. That third duty was to be a father to his children.
There are no more important roles for a man than the roles of husband and father. As men seek to righteously fulfill these roles, they become more like their Father in Heaven.
For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her. Ephesians 5:25
Conclusion:
God must be first in all things that men do. For apart from Christ, you can do nothing, John 15:5. You must have a Christ-like attitude as you work with the different men around you. If one man is suffering, you need to comfort him. Men need to be able to count on each other under any and all circumstances.

Chapter 11
A Call For Christ Like Workers
Christ came to this earth and lived for us the life that every one must live who is granted an entrance into the city of God. SpTB01 22.4. Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.”
Mark 8:34
If you feel the call to ministry, then you have been called to serve others. To join any ministry is just that, a call to serve others. You heard the invitation Jesus asked His disciples in Mark 8:34. So what’s your next move? If you’re even thinking about it, the Holy Spirit is working in you. Will you accept the invitation from Jesus? Talk to your church’s ministry leaders, they can answer those questions that you may have.
I pray that you make the decision and accept Jesus’s invitation. What do you have to loose?
