John 3:16 NKJV “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”
God sent His only son to earth to become the sacrifice that paid for all of our sins. This was done as Jesus the Son of God was crucified on the Cross. By Jesus’s actions of taking on the role of our “Great Redeemer,” it also displayed the love that our Father God in Heaven has for each of us.In the book of Matthew we learn that Jesus’s ministry only lasted a short time here on earth. Jesus only had a short time to make Disciples out of ordinary people and give them these instructions also know as “The Great Commission.” Matthew 28:18-20.
Now Jesus Christ stands at your door knocking, Rev 3:20. He is waiting for you to open the door and let Him in. Christ will not knock down the door and force His way in to your heart. Jesus gives you the “Free Will” of choice to pick up your cross and follow Him. When Christ Jesus is allowed to dwell in each of us, we have a new spirit and by obedience to follow Him. Our sins will be covered with the blood that He shed for us on the Cross.
As we observe this up-in coming religious holiday of Easter, we are reminded of the price that was paid on the Cross in order to have the opportunity to live a life in Heaven with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. No man knows the day or time that our Lord and Savior will return and collect His believers. I pray that you open the door now, making the decision to follow Jesus Christ.
